PAGE 2
Bring A Friend Day or Bring Your Neighbor Day
(Which do you like best? Let me know if you have a preference)

1. Start inviting people NOW!
What usually should be done over three months we are going to attempt in three weeks.

2. Start praying for 100 in attendance on the 30th. We can do it if you pray and invite.

3. Impress on your guests that they will not be singled out, ridiculed or asked to give money.

4. Tell them we want them to stay for a meal immediately after the assembly. Bring enough food to feed your family and those you invite.

5. We will start eating at 11:15 am so bring food that is in appropriate containers (crock-pots, sealable plastic, etc.)

6. Call your friend (s) the week before the 30th

7. Call them the day before and remind them of their commitment.

8. Offer to pick up your guest. This will help to stop any excuse for not coming.

9. The assembly will begin at 9:45 am with our quartet singing a song or two. Be sure to be on time with your guests. It has been proven that singing is very appealing to people and especially people who have never heard acappella singing.

10. Sing out during the congregational singing. Max, Dominich and I will share the song leading. The three of us will discuss which songs to use

11. We will need to park over on the grass past the trees. Try to car-pool if possible so we can keep the parking places for our visitors. If you do not have any guests coming, or they do not show up, then please make yourself available to help out in some of the areas below.

12. We will NOT have our covered dish on the 16th (third Sunday) but will instead have it on the 5th Sunday at 11:15 am.

13, The meal will begin immediately after the assembly.

14. Let your guests go first. We will suspend our usual birthday and anniversaries going first custom.

15. Members should mingle, especially with your guests, asking if they need anything. Try to meet as many as you can and introduce yourself. Remember, be yourself and people will see how friendly our church is.

16. We need volunteers:
a. Setup crew to set up tables, chairs, etc in the fellowship hall and classrooms. We will be using the classrooms closest to the fellowship hall. We will use the tables that are in the classrooms.

b. Take down crew would take down tables and chairs after the meal is over and make sure the rooms are back in order for the pre-school, including the fellowship hall.

c. Valets. You would offer to park people's cars as far away as possible, then bring the keys back to the owner.

d. Special needs:
1. Tim and Kay make sure we have enough plates, cups, etc.
2. Ladies who usually make sure everything is set out (you know who you are) please be at the building no later than 8:30 am to receive food and if you need to stay during the sermon you can go back then. It is your call.

If you want to volunteer please e-mail me back at grace4jb@gmail.com. Do not use the church e-mail accounts because I am working on them this week so they may not be working. Just use my personal account I listed.

One last thing: This is a first draft. As I think of more things to add I will send you another email. You may call or email me if you have any suggestions or questions.

Jim

IF EVERYONE DOES THEIR PART WE CAN MAKE THIS A SUCCESSFUL DAY
